Formed in 2008, Chasetown started out as a 3-piece band, jamming out songs together from some of their favourite bands in an old granary. Eventually, the band had compiled enough songs together in their set list to do a gig at a local pub. The band needed a name for the gig so on the way to the pub, a sign post read ‘Chasetown’, and so the band was born.

Now the band felt they could start writing their own music and hit the studio with their first song titled ‘Fire in the Sky’.

To date, the band has recorded 14 original songs and they are constantly expanding on that with new material in the pipeline and are always an evolving machine.

In early 2011 the band recruited Ben Frost as an additional guitarist to expand their sound. Now a 4-piece, they are constantly expanding their song list with new songs to keep their gigs fresh.

Chasetown have played many gigs in and around the Northampton area, playing in respected venues such as The Picturedrome, Roadmender and The Shed in Leicester.

The band reached the finals of the ‘Live & Unsigned UK’ competition in 2009.

Chasetown has received some positive attention from various figures in the music industry. Marky Ramone from The Ramones has listened to the band on MySpace and has even played Chasetown on Sirius FM in the United States.

Chasetown have also received some radio airplay in the U.K.

The band draws influence from bands such as Blink-182, Stereophonics, Arctic Monkeys and The Offspring
